What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a holistic therapy.  It aims to trigger the body’s own self-healing mechanisms that can become stuck because of stress or injury or trauma.  This is done by stimulating reflex points on the feet or hands that relate to different parts of the body.

As the body, mind, emotions and spiritual side of a person are all connected, any of these things may be influenced by the treatment.

What can you expect?

Your first appointment is 1.5 hours.  We look at your health and lifestyle, including any medication you may be taking, and we discuss your objectives for your treatment.

After this you have a relaxing one hour reflexology session.  Using all of this information I put together a personal treatment plan designed just for you, which we will use, going forward.

Using a variety of traditional and specialised reflexology techniques, and my own listening skills and life experience, I work with you to kick-start your wellbeing and motivation, so that you can help yourself feel better.

I provide a safe space, to support you whilst you take back a feeling of control in your life. We space sessions out as you feel better.

Hi, I’m Mel, and I’m a reflexologist, a Mum, and a carer.

I love to work with people who are feeling stressed or overwhelmed by ‘life’.

Its a wonderful feeling to be able to help someone relax, and to help them take time out from their normal world to review what’s going on, and how they want to transform their wellbeing.

Nowadays, we are becoming more and more mindful of the need to look after ourselves, and stress and anxiety are challenges few people avoid.

Women in particular can find life to be a challenge, as it is often we who do the caring, advocating, remembering, organising, doing. Multitasking!

The question is, who looks after us?  I present myself as one of your potential secret weapons. A possible part of your plan to feel better, and stay well.
